Petite French Louis XV Style Tub Chair – Carved Walnut Salon Armchair

French Louis XV style tub chair   I’m extremely tempted to keep this one… A very cute nicely proportioned petite French Louis XV style tub chair, full of French country house charm. Sat on shapely cabriole legs with carved detailing and a gently serpentine front rail, the frame is  walnut and finished with a floral carved crest to the back. The compact “tub” form, complete with scroll arms and padded elbow rests, creates an inviting and comfortable seat. The original sage green upholstery and decorative braid trim actually works rather nicely as is – soft, usable and has that relaxed, lived-in look, but if you fancied changing the fabric it would absolutely sing freshly recovered in linen, velvet or something a bit bolder.
