Antique Leather Clad Sideboard A substantial and highly decorative antique leather clad sideboard dating to around 1900, solid oak and finished with richly aged studded leather panels and original brass fittings. This is a proper statement piece, combining useful storage with real visual presence. The front is clad in hand-applied leather, secured with closely set brass studs, while the oak frame provides a strong architectural structure with good weight and proportion. Internally, it offers practical cupboard and drawer space, making it as functional as it is decorative. The leather has developed a deep, warm patina over time, with areas of wear and some splitting in places, all consistent with age and use. These signs of age are very much in keeping with the piece and contribute to its overall character, giving it that lived-in look that’s hard to replicate. The brass mounts and hardware remain in keeping with the period, adding further detail and interest. Originally part of a larger dining room suite, this sideboard stands confidently on its own and would make an impressive focal point in a dining room, lounge, hallway or restaurant / hotel / pub interior. A bold piece of antique furniture with character, presence and practicality. 115cm Height / 158cm Width / 60cm Depth
