Avery TrueBlock Extra Large File Folder Labels, 15/16″ x 3-7/16″, 450 Printable Labels, White (5027)

I have been trying to better organize my office and really didn’t want to replace all my manila file folders. I looked to see if there was something that I might could use in a label to cover up the writing on them. Some have black and red sharpie writing on them and they look a bit of a mess. So, I decided to give these a try. I figured that 450 should be enough to do all my home files. I downloaded the template for Windows XP from the Avery website and began typing my labels and used a 28 point type in bold which fits perfectly. Within minutes I had transformed my file folders! When you peel off the label the back of the label is gray. It completely covered up the red sharpie writing! I use a HP Photosmart Plus printer and they worked great with it. The labels seem to be adhering to the files without difficulty. The writing is bold enough that I now don’t have to find my glasses to find a file foler! I would like to note two things: one-these are for the 1/3 cut file folders and two- they are a matte finish.UPDATE: These labels have adhered just fine to the manila file folders but keep in mind that they are not what I would consider removable. In cleaning out my files I wanted to salvage some of the better folders only to find that if you try to remove these labels they leave a gray residue and you have to pull so hard to get the label off that it damages the file folder.
