Sled Disk Mounting Kit (Ice-Out)

The Sled Disk Mounting Kit offers Ice-Out owners a host of unique advantages. First, it’s mobile. With little effort, it can be pulled anywhere along your shoreline and rotated with a slight tug of the included 10′ nylon rope. Second, it does not require you to have a dock, pier, etc. to mount it to; it is a true standalone option. Third, it allows for operation in shallow water and lets you mount your de-icer as close to the pond or lake bed as possible (this detail is important because this will allow you to draw the warmest possible water to the surface). The Sled Disk Mounting Kit features a marine-grade aluminum bracket that will allow for attachment to all Ice-Out mounts (this will come pre-assembled on Ice-Out orders that select the Sled Disk Mounting Kit option), as well as an anodized aluminum disk with stainless hardware including steel handles, attachment bolts, and an eye hook to pivot the mount. All components are covered under Admiral’s 3 Year Warranty. A hollow center cavity provides initial portability and later allows this standalone mount to be filled with gravel or sand for customizable stability. When completely full, it will remain stable, yet movement will be simple and require little effort. Set-up is a breeze; just tighten two bolts to fasten the Ice-Out to the disk mount and then tighten/loosen the bracket’s knob to adjust the Ice-Out’s pitch if necessary. In order to rotate the unit, simply tie one of the included ropes to the mount’s front eye bolt and move it side to side. Depending on the shoreline, this may allow for adjustments directly from your shore or dock, saving you the need to get in the water.
